The fifth annual Corks for Kids Path will be led by volunteer Chairperson Matt Logan, an active community volunteer.

"I am really honored to be this year's Corks for Kids Path Chairperson," said Logan, "and our volunteer committee is eager to build on the success of this event's past four years." Corks for Kids Path, which was created by Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) in 2008, raises vital support for medically fragile and grieving children. During the past four years the event has proved to be Greensboro's premier wine-tasting experience - generating more than $160,000 (net) for Kids Path. Logan, a financial planner with Loflin Financial, has been an active community volunteer for years. Joining Matt at the helm is Vice-Chairperson Ashley Watkins.  She plans to Chair the event in 2013. 

Corks for Kids Path will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012. Once again, this tasting event will feature a variety of unique, handcrafted wines from small wineries, locally brewed craft beers, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction. "We're creating several new experiences for our guests this year," said Logan.  Corks for Kids Path has experienced sold-out crowds, and we are confident it will continue to exceed previous attendance records," he said.  

"Although Kids Path enjoys a strong local, state and national reputation as a model program, this essential community resource is vulnerable - Kids Path relies on public support for 73 percent of its operating budget," said Watkins. "We need our community's participation to raise awareness and funds for Kids Path. We are fully committed to making Corks for Kids Path a great success in 2012."
